Here is a couple of cards using my pond pals from artful inkables. The background was brayered in after I colored the fish & turtle and then heat embossed them . The cattails and grass were done last and colored in with markers.

Sometimes you have to make the time

I looked at my blog and saw how long it had been since I've created anything. So, when I finally got a couple of days off from both jobs, I decided I would walk through my house with blinders on (so I didn't see all that needed to be done) and head to my craft room. I've been dying to try to duplicate some pictures I was sent. Here's one of the pics to the right with my card on the left.

Job update

Well... I survived my first week working in retail again. I like the pace, but everyone is trying to stay afloat in this economyany way they can. So, I got about two hours of training and then they threw me to teh wolves. I think one of the managers could tell I had just about had it. I pretty much told him that they weren't allowing me to get trained. My husband tells me its only temporary. If they don't start teaching me the ropes and rules about how things are done, It could be really temporary. The first time someone tries to write me up for something I wasn't taught, I'll probably go balistic. There, I feel better. I'm trying to get ready for a garage sale on Saturday, but will post atleast one card this week. Til then, have a great week!

Time is at a premium

Hello everyone! I start a new job today. So, I don't know how much time I will have to post. I will try to have a new idea every week. If I don't, I will probably go into withdrawls. Wish me luck! It's been 7 1/2 years since I've had to work for someone else.

Here's a box I made for Easter. It holds 12 mini hersheys. I've decided to change it to a Mother's day goodie for all my gal pals! They are really easy to make.

Here's a card a made for the color and sketch challenge on SCS this week. You needed to use black, red, gold, and kraft. I think my subconscious is trying to tell me I need a vacation.

Here are just a few examples of my work. I tried to pick different types to show my style, but I'm not sure I have a specific one. I love working with paper as my medium. TFL

Make a Smilebox slideshow

I must be feeling blue. All of the cards I've done recently are in blue. They still seem to make me happy though. The first is done with Flourishes Forest of Trees set .

The second one is done with Plant Prints from Artful Inkables. I made it for the clean and simple challenge on SCS.

Sorry it's been so long. I just don't have a lot of time these days. Finding a job in the economy is really wearing me down. Anyway... I'm trying to design a gift catalog for teachers to be able to buy gifts for their parent helpers. Here is one of the items I've come up with so far.

It comes with 4 custom monogramed cards and envies with this cute little holder. There is 3 other color combinations to choose from.

Now that winter has finally arrived...

Now that winter has finally arrived in California, I've begun to think about spring. Here is a fun 2 page scrapbook layout using hand stamped background paper. It's a sneek peek for anyone attending my crop at the end of February.

There's always time for a little love

Here are a few of the things I came up with to give out for Valentines Day. The treat bags are for my kids classmates and the acetate boxes are for the teachers. A few cards just beacuse I may need one.

Well I finally did it! I answered a request for design team reps. Hopefully, they think I have the talent to pull it off. Wish me luck.
